You spent $22,000 on Meta ads last month.
You generated $58,000 in revenue.
You’re profitable. Things are working.
But here’s what you don’t see: You’re losing $15,000+ per month to silent conversion leaks that only show up when you dig into the data.
These aren’t obvious problems. Your site looks fine. Your checkout works. Your emails are sending.
But between 40-60% of your potential revenue is disappearing into invisible gaps that most founders never find until they hire someone to audit their store.
I’ve run conversion audits on 230+ DTC wellness and skincare brands in the past 3 years. Brands doing $30k-$200k per month. Every single one had at least 3 of these silent leaks.
The difference between brands stuck at $50k/month and brands scaling past $150k/month? They found and fixed these leaks 6-12 months ago.
I’m going to show you the exact 90-second diagnostic we use to find $15k-$40k in hidden revenue in any Shopify store. You can run this yourself in the next 10 minutes.
The $3,847 Weekly Leak (And Why You Can’t See It)
Most founders look at top-level metrics.
Revenue: ✓ Growing
ROAS: ✓ Profitable
Conversion rate: ✓ Around 2%
Everything looks okay. So you keep doing what you’re doing.
But here’s what’s actually happening underneath:
You’re getting 1,000 product page visits per day.
750 people (75%) bounce in under 10 seconds. Lost: $1,125/day
Of the 250 who stay, only 20 add to cart (8% ATC rate). Lost: $450/day
Of those 20 carts, 15 abandon (75% cart abandonment). Lost: $225/day
Of the 5 who reach checkout, 3 abandon (60% checkout abandonment). Lost: $90/day
You get 2 sales from 1,000 visitors.
Total daily revenue from 1,000 visitors: $120 (at $60 AOV)
Potential revenue if leaks were plugged: $1,200+
Lost daily: $1,080
Lost weekly: $7,560
Lost monthly: $32,400
That’s not revenue you’re missing from “not enough traffic.” That’s revenue walking away from the traffic you already paid for.
The 90-Second Diagnostic (Run This Right Now)
You need 5 numbers to find your biggest leak.
Open Shopify Analytics or Google Analytics. I’ll show you exactly where to find each number.
Number 1: Product Page Bounce Rate
Where to find it:
Shopify: Analytics → Reports → Online Store → Top pages → Filter for /products/
Google Analytics: Behavior → Site Content → All Pages → Filter /products/
What you’re looking for: Bounce rate percentage
What it means:
Under 50% = Healthy (your product pages are engaging)
50-65% = Needs improvement (losing half your traffic)
65-75% = Major leak (most people leave in seconds)
Over 75% = Critical leak (3 out of 4 people bounce immediately)
The math:
If 1,000 people land on your product pages and 75% bounce, you lose 750 potential customers instantly.
If you fixed this and got it to 50%, you’d keep 500 people instead of 250.
At a 10% add-to-cart rate, that’s 50 carts instead of 25.
At 30% checkout conversion, that’s 15 orders instead of 7.5.
At $60 AOV, that’s $900 vs $450.
You just found a $450 daily leak. That’s $3,150/week.
Number 2: Add-to-Cart Rate
Where to find it:
Shopify: Analytics → Reports → Products → Select a product → Check “Added to cart”
Or calculate: (Total add-to-carts ÷ product page views) × 100
What you’re looking for: Percentage of product page visitors who add to cart
What it means:
15-20% = Excellent (high intent or warm traffic)
10-15% = Healthy (product pages are converting)
6-10% = Needs work (people are interested but not convinced)
Under 6% = Major leak (you’re not answering their questions)
The math:
If 250 people view your product page and 6% add to cart, that’s 15 carts.
If you got that to 12%, you’d have 30 carts.
At 30% checkout conversion, that’s 9 orders vs 4.5 orders.
At $60 AOV, that’s $540 vs $270.
You just found a $270 daily leak. That’s $1,890/week.
Number 3: Cart Abandonment Rate
Where to find it:
Shopify: Analytics → Reports → Behavior → Abandonment → Sessions that added products vs reached checkout
Calculate: ((Added to cart – Reached checkout) ÷ Added to cart) × 100
What you’re looking for: What percentage of carts never make it to checkout
What it means:
Under 55% = Excellent (most carts proceed to checkout)
55-65% = Healthy (standard for DTC)
65-75% = Needs work (losing too many at cart stage)
Over 75% = Critical leak (3 out of 4 carts abandon)
The math:
If 30 people add to cart and 75% abandon, only 7.5 reach checkout.
If you got that to 60%, you’d have 12 reaching checkout.
At 40% checkout conversion, that’s 4.8 orders vs 3 orders.
At $60 AOV, that’s $288 vs $180.
You just found a $108 daily leak. That’s $756/week.
Number 4: Checkout Abandonment Rate
Where to find it:
Shopify: Analytics → Reports → Behavior → Checkout behavior
Look at “Sessions that reached checkout” vs “Orders”
Calculate: ((Reached checkout – Orders) ÷ Reached checkout) × 100
What you’re looking for: What percentage of checkouts don’t complete
What it means:
Under 45% = Excellent (more than half complete purchase)
45-55% = Healthy (standard conversion)
55-65% = Needs work (losing half at final step)
Over 65% = Critical leak (most people abandon at checkout)
The math:
If 12 people reach checkout and 65% abandon, you get 4.2 orders.
If you got that to 45%, you’d get 6.6 orders.
At $60 AOV, that’s $396 vs $252.
You just found a $144 daily leak. That’s $1,008/week.
Number 5: 90-Day Repeat Purchase Rate
Where to find it:
Shopify: Customers → Export all customers → Filter by “Orders > 1” and “First order date > 90 days ago”
Calculate: (Customers with 2+ orders ÷ Total customers from 90+ days ago) × 100
What you’re looking for: What percentage of customers buy again within 90 days
What it means:
40%+ = Excellent (strong retention and LTV)
30-40% = Healthy (decent repeat business)
20-30% = Needs work (low loyalty)
Under 20% = Critical leak (one-and-done customers)
The math:
If you acquire 100 customers and 20% buy again at $55 average, that’s $1,100 in repeat revenue.
If you got that to 40%, you’d have $2,200 in repeat revenue.
You just found $1,100 in lost LTV per 100 customers. At 200 monthly customers, that’s $2,200/month or $550/week.
Add Up Your Weekly Leaks
Take the 5 numbers you just found and score yourself:
| Metric | Your Number | Weekly Leak |
|---|---|---|
| Product page bounce rate | ___% | $_____ |
| Add-to-cart rate | ___% | $_____ |
| Cart abandonment | ___% | $_____ |
| Checkout abandonment | ___% | $_____ |
| 90-day repeat rate | ___% | $_____ |
| Total Weekly Leak | $_____ |
If your total is over $3,000/week, you’re losing $12,000-$15,000 per month in fixable revenue.
If it’s over $5,000/week, you’re losing $20,000-$25,000 per month.
That’s $240,000-$300,000 per year walking out the door.
The 5 Fixes That Plug 80% of Revenue Leaks
Now that you know where you’re bleeding, here’s what to fix first.
Fix #1: Product Page Bounce Rate Over 65%
The problem: People land and leave in under 10 seconds
Why it’s happening:
Your headline is the product name, not the outcome
Your hero image is a product shot, not customer usage
There’s no immediate answer to “Is this for me?”
No social proof above the fold
Mobile experience is broken (buttons tiny, text unreadable)
The fix (30 minutes):
Rewrite your H1 headline: “[Outcome] in [Timeline] for [Specific Person]”
Example: “Deep Sleep in 20 Minutes for Anxious Minds That Won’t Shut Off”
Replace hero image with customer using product or showing before/after
Add one customer review with photo above the fold
Test on mobile: Can you read everything and tap buttons easily?
Expected impact: Bounce rate drops 15-25 percentage points in 2 weeks
Revenue recovered: $2,000-$4,000/month per product page
Fix #2: Add-to-Cart Rate Under 10%
The problem: People read but don’t add to cart
Why it’s happening:
No timeline to results (they don’t know how long to wait)
No risk reversal (they’re afraid it won’t work)
Unanswered objections (safety, interactions, side effects)
No proof it works (ingredients list isn’t proof)
No urgency or scarcity
The fix (2 hours):
Add “What to expect” timeline section above fold
Example: “Week 1-2: Better sleep onset. Week 3-4: Deeper sleep. Week 6+: Consistent 7-8 hours”
Add guarantee reminder near button: “60-day money-back guarantee, even if the bottle’s empty”
Add FAQ section answering top 5 objections (How long? Side effects? Safe with medications? What if it doesn’t work? How to take?)
Add customer photo gallery mid-page (6-8 real customers with results)
Add subtle urgency: “327 sold in the last 7 days” or “Join 12,400+ customers”
Expected impact: Add-to-cart rate increases 3-6 percentage points
Revenue recovered: $3,000-$6,000/month per product
Fix #3: Cart Abandonment Over 70%
The problem: They add to cart then disappear
Why it’s happening:
They see shipping cost for the first time (surprise kills trust)
Cart UX is clunky (separate page, hard to edit)
No express checkout option (they don’t want to fill out forms)
No incentive to complete now vs later
The fix (1 hour):
Show shipping cost on product page: “Free shipping over $75” or “Shipping: $6-$9 (calculated at checkout)”
Enable cart drawer instead of separate cart page (so they don’t leave the product page)
Enable Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay in cart
Add progress bar: “You’re $22 away from free shipping!”
Add cart abandonment email sequence: 3 emails over 72 hours (reminder, social proof + 10% off, last chance)
Expected impact: Cart abandonment drops 10-15 percentage points
Revenue recovered: $4,000-$8,000/month
Fix #4: Checkout Abandonment Over 60%
The problem: They start checkout but don’t finish
Why it’s happening:
Too many form fields (takes 90+ seconds on mobile)
Mobile experience is broken (can’t tap buttons, text too small)
No trust signals (they’re entering credit card with zero reassurance)
Payment options limited (no express checkout)
Last-second doubts (no guarantee reminder, no support contact visible)
The fix (2 hours):
Reduce form fields: Make phone optional, remove company field, use shipping for billing by default
Enable express checkout: Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay at top of checkout
Mobile optimization: Test on iPhone SE, increase button size to 48px min, text 16px min
Add trust signals: Security badge above payment, guarantee below total, “Join 8,000+ customers” visible
Test completion time: Should take under 60 seconds on mobile from start to confirmation
Expected impact: Checkout abandonment drops 12-18 percentage points
Revenue recovered: $5,000-$10,000/month
Fix #5: Repeat Purchase Rate Under 30%
The problem: Customers buy once and never return
Why it’s happening:
No post-purchase communication (they forget about you)
No replenishment reminders (they run out and buy elsewhere)
No education on results timeline (they quit too early)
No reason to come back (no loyalty program, no new products, no engagement)
The fix (1 week to set up):
Automated post-purchase emails:
Day 3: “How to use [product] for best results”
Day 14: “What to expect in week 2-4”
Day 30: “Seeing results? Here’s what’s next”
Day 50: “You’re probably running low – reorder now” (for 60-day supply products)
Day 70: “Your results + 15% off your next order”
Day 90: Win-back email if they haven’t reordered
Segmented campaigns:
Email VIP customers (2+ purchases) with early access to new products
Send one-time buyers a second purchase incentive at day 45
Target browsers who didn’t buy with abandoned browse sequence
SMS for high-value customers:
“Hey [name], you loved [product]. Try [complementary product] – here’s 20% off”
Expected impact: 90-day repeat rate increases 8-15 percentage points
Revenue recovered: $8,000-$15,000/month (this is the highest-leverage fix)
The Priority Matrix: Which Leak to Fix First
You probably have 3-4 major leaks. You can’t fix them all at once.
Here’s how to prioritize:
If Your Biggest Leak Is Product Page Bounce Rate:
Fix this first. You’re losing people before they even read about your product.
Timeline: 2-4 hours to fix top 3 product pages
Impact: Shows up in 7-14 days
This unlocks everything downstream (more people = more carts = more orders)
If Your Biggest Leak Is Add-to-Cart Rate:
Fix this second. People are interested but not convinced.
Timeline: 4-6 hours per product page (more involved)
Impact: Shows up in 7-14 days
This fills your cart funnel so the other fixes have more volume to work with
If Your Biggest Leak Is Cart or Checkout Abandonment:
Fix these third. You’re getting people close but losing them at the final steps.
Timeline: 2-3 hours for both
Impact: Shows up in 3-7 days (quickest win)
This immediately converts more of your existing traffic
If Your Biggest Leak Is Repeat Purchase Rate:
Fix this fourth, but don’t sleep on it. This is your LTV multiplier.
Timeline: 1 week to build the system
Impact: Shows up in 30-90 days (slowest but highest long-term value)
This makes all your acquisition profitable long-term
Real Numbers From Real Brands
I’m not giving you theory. This is what actually happens when you plug these leaks.
Example 1: Supplement brand, $63k/month
Before diagnostic:
Product bounce rate: 74%
Add-to-cart rate: 7%
Cart abandonment: 76%
Checkout abandonment: 68%
Repeat rate: 21%
After fixes (60 days):
Product bounce rate: 52%
Add-to-cart rate: 11%
Cart abandonment: 61%
Checkout abandonment: 49%
Repeat rate: 29% (early indicator, full lift takes 90 days)
Revenue impact: $63k → $94k/month (+49%)
Same traffic. Same ad spend. Better conversion at every step.
Example 2: Skincare brand, $41k/month
Before diagnostic:
Product bounce rate: 71%
Add-to-cart rate: 6%
Cart abandonment: 78%
Checkout abandonment: 64%
Repeat rate: 18%
After fixes (45 days):
Product bounce rate: 58%
Add-to-cart rate: 9%
Cart abandonment: 64%
Checkout abandonment: 51%
Repeat rate: 24% (early indicator)
Revenue impact: $41k → $67k/month (+63%)
They fixed 4 of 5 leaks. The one they didn’t fix (ATC rate) is next on the list.
Example 3: Wellness brand, $128k/month (yes, even larger brands have leaks)
Before diagnostic:
Product bounce rate: 61% (not terrible)
Add-to-cart rate: 11% (decent)
Cart abandonment: 71% (leak)
Checkout abandonment: 62% (leak)
Repeat rate: 26% (leak)
After fixes (90 days):
Product bounce rate: 58% (minor improvement)
Add-to-cart rate: 12% (minor improvement)
Cart abandonment: 58% (major improvement)
Checkout abandonment: 47% (major improvement)
Repeat rate: 38% (major improvement)
Revenue impact: $128k → $167k/month (+30%)
They focused on cart/checkout/repeat (their 3 biggest leaks). Ignored the two that were already healthy.
Why You Haven’t Found These Leaks Yet
Most founders look at the wrong metrics.
You check:
Total revenue (up or down?)
ROAS (profitable or not?)
Overall conversion rate (around 2%?)
These are output metrics. They tell you the result but not the cause.
The leaks I showed you are process metrics. They tell you exactly where people are dropping off and why.
You can’t fix “conversion rate is 2%.”
You can fix “68% of people abandon checkout because there’s no Shop Pay and the form takes 90 seconds on mobile.”
The diagnostic I just gave you finds the specific broken step so you know exactly what to fix.
The Free Audit Offer (And Why We’re Doing This)
Here’s the situation.
You just ran the 90-second diagnostic. You found at least $3,000/week in leaks.
Now you have two options:
Option 1: Fix it yourself
Use the 5 fixes I outlined above. They work. Hundreds of brands have used these exact fixes to plug leaks and add $15k-$40k/month in revenue.
Time required: 10-20 hours spread over 2-4 weeks
Cost: $0 (your time only)
Option 2: Let us audit and fix it
We’ll run a full conversion audit on your Shopify store, identify all major leaks (not just the 5 I covered—there are 12+ potential leak points we check), show you exactly how much each leak is costing you, and implement the fixes over 30-45 days.
Time required: 2 hours of your time (kickoff call + weekly check-ins)
Cost: We’re offering free audits for the next 30 days to build case studies
Here’s why we’re doing this:
We’ve built a conversion audit system that finds $15k-$50k in hidden revenue in 90% of DTC brands we analyze. We want 10 more case studies in the next 60 days to prove the system works across different niches, traffic sources, and price points.
What you get:
Full conversion audit (every leak point in your funnel)
Revenue leak report (exactly how much each leak costs you per month)
Prioritized fix list (what to fix first, second, third)
Implementation support (we’ll help you implement or do it for you)
90-day tracking (we’ll measure the lift and optimize)
What we get:
A case study (with your permission, we’ll publish the before/after results)
A testimonial (if you’re happy with the results)
Who this is for:
DTC wellness, skincare, or supplement brands doing $30k-$200k/month on Shopify
At least 3 months of traffic data (we need data to audit)
Willing to implement changes (we’ll guide you, but you need to execute)
Open to being a case study if results are good
Who this is NOT for:
Brands under $20k/month (not enough traffic to audit properly)
Brands not on Shopify (our system is Shopify-specific)
Brands that won’t implement recommendations (we can find leaks but can’t force you to fix them)
Brands looking for a magic pill (this is systematic optimization, not a hack)
How to Get Your Free Audit
Send us your Shopify store URL.
Include your current monthly revenue range ($30k-$50k, $50k-$100k, $100k-$200k).
Tell us your biggest frustration right now (stuck at a revenue ceiling, can’t scale profitably, high traffic but low conversion, etc.).
We’ll run the diagnostic and get back to you within 48 hours with:
- Your 5 core leak scores
- Estimated monthly revenue loss from each leak
- Whether you’re a fit for the full audit
If you’re a fit, we’ll schedule a 60-minute audit walkthrough where we’ll show you everything we found and exactly what to fix first.
Or if you want to fix it yourself, go back to the 5 fixes above and start with your biggest leak today.
Either way, you now know exactly where your revenue is disappearing and how to get it back.
One last thing:
Run the 90-second diagnostic right now.
Find your 5 numbers. Calculate your weekly leak.
That number you just calculated? That’s real money leaving your business every single week.
Not because your product is bad. Not because your ads don’t work. Not because you need more traffic.
Because you have 3-5 silent conversion leaks that are completely fixable.
Fix them and you’ll add $60k-$180k this year without spending another dollar on ads.
